The Eventi Hotel in Chelsea has taken the food court out of the mall and brought it to the space-age, with a décor designed by Syd Mead, who was a designer on the set of “Blade Runner” “Aliens” and the first “Tron.”
Aside from the cool look, the eatery has four counters to choose from, The Press for coffee; 3Bs for bacon, burgers and beer; Fornetti for some nice Italian food; and RedFarm Stand which offers Asian cuisine. Diners create their meals using a centralized kiosk with a touchscreen to place their order.
Business has been steady as office workers and passersby wander in from Sixth Avenue between 29th and 30th Street since opening in October last year.
