Cancer Awareness Walk Proceeds as Planned Despite Heat Wave

Despite the soaring temperatures people came out to Marine Park on Sunday to participate in the “Lustgarten Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk.” Although shortened somewhat so that exposure to the hot weather was kept to a minimum, the walk continued as planned in order to raise awareness about this insidious disease which is often only detected after it is too late for its victims.
