Barrett Wissman on the Tribeca Film Festival

The Tribeca Film Festival, founded in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff, has a new cousin, the Tribeca Firenze. Together with Barrett Wissman’s Tuscan Sun Festival and Tribeca Enterprises, parent company of the Tribeca Film Festival, the Tribeca Firenze is a world-class film festival to be launched this coming June 13-17, 2012 in Florence, Italy. The films will be screened in the Odeon Cinema in Florence, one of Italy’s most chic and historic cinema-theaters in the art nouveau style, located in the renowned Palazzo Strozzino.

Tuscan Sun Festival Founder and Director Barrett Wissman commented that:

“The Tuscan Sun Festival is delighted to include Tribeca Firenze in the program for 2012. The Festival has always been a platform for the world’s greatest artistic talent and a celebration of the arts. Integrating Tribeca Firenze films, particularly those featuring the theme of music, into the overall Festival program is an exciting development.”

Barrett Wissman has been working closely with Alexander Shustorovich on the Tribeca Film Festival as well.
