Try Your Hand at Glass Blowing

The Netflix series Blown Away, which recently completed its fourth season, has certainly been a big hit. It has brought the art of glass blowing to the forefront for many and has created a desire for the artistic, and those who are less-so, to try their hand at this art form.

For those who live in Brooklyn, or nearby, that’s not actually such a tall order. Brooklyn Glass at 142 13th Street in Brooklyn, has a huge range of classes. They have introductory classes for those who have never blown glass before, and advanced classes of all sorts. They also have one day programs and those that last for an entire semester or beyond.

They are definitely a space worth watching. Recently, they had an event called Hot Glass Cold Beer. After purchasing tickets, guests received a one-of-a-kind hand blown drinking glass and were offered the chance to enjoy an open bar, listen to live music and watch glass blowing demonstrations. For a unique night out, or for lessons in a fascinating art form, this is the place to be.
