Book Week Comes to Brooklyn and All of New York

Book Week is coming to New York, and will arrive on May 24 and stay until May 28, 2010. This week-long event coincides with the BEA, BookExpo America. As part of this special event there will be “main stage” author programs at a variety of places including Times Talks, the 92nd Street “Y” and the New York Public Library main branch. Bookstores, both the large chains like Borders and Barnes and Noble will also host smaller events, and there will be happenings also taking place at independent bookstores around the city.
The purpose of New York Book Week is to expand the public’s awareness of authors, books and publishing while also embracing all literary and book activity.
If you are a book lover, don’t miss this special chance to hear and meet authors, publishers and other book aficionados just like you.
