NYC Launches Curbside Dining Week

New York City is introducing its first Curbside Dining Week from September 5th to 12th, 2025. This new event will feature special outdoor dining deals at over 30 restaurants, spanning all five boroughs. The campaign places a spotlight on outdoor dining setups, such as patios and sidewalk seating, that gained significance during the COVID-19 pandemic and have become a key element of the city’s dining scene.

Restaurants participating in the event are offering a range of incentives, including discounts, complimentary menu items, and prix fixe deals. Some examples include a 20% discount at The Mansion on the Upper East Side and 15% off at Ray’s on the Lower East Side. Offers also feature a $35 prix fixe at Sean Og’s Tavern in Queens and free limoncello at Osteria Radisa in Brooklyn. Coffee shops and bars are joining as well, providing deals like $1 beer or wine at Judy’s in Sunset Park and 15% off coffee at Café Grumpy’s Park Slope and Greenpoint locations.

Curbside Dining Week has been organized with help from advocacy groups like OpenPlans and Untapped New York, who aim to showcase the variety and accessibility of dining outdoors in New York. While city regulations have recently limited the number of outdoor dining setups, event organizers hope this initiative draws attention to how these spaces contribute to neighborhood life and support local restaurants.

Ultimately, the weeklong event highlights how outdoor dining has become part of daily life in NYC and offers residents a chance to sample a range of offerings. The program reflects the ongoing interest in dining outdoors and the community’s effort to keep it a regular part of the city’s culture.
