Free Winter Events at SKATE in Domino Park

SKATE at Domino Park on the Williamsburg waterfront is adding a slate of free public programs to its winter 2026 schedule, turning the seasonal ice rink into a hub for music, performances and workshops through January and February. The rink, set along the East River inside Domino Park, will continue to sell tickets for skating sessions, but all off-ice events will be open to the public at no charge.

The weekly lineup includes DJ Nights on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., featuring DJ girlcrush and rotating guest DJs providing music during evening skating hours. On Thursdays, the venue will host “Themed Thursdays” from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., led by drag performer and figure skater Milk, with attendees invited to dress according to weekly themes announced online; each event will include a performance by Milk and a costume contest with complimentary skate admission as the prize.

Daytime programming will center on Winter Workshops, running Mondays from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. starting Jan. 19 inside the rink’s hospitality tent. Led by A Rosie Day and Lina Sings, these sessions will focus on crafts and seasonal activities, are free to attend and do not require participants to skate.

Organizers also plan additional events later in the season, including Winter Olympics-inspired activities and a week of Valentine’s Day programming. Valentine’s events are expected to feature couple portrait sessions with photographer Chris Lloyd, themed music and related activities, with a full schedule and updates available on Domino Park’s website, where skating tickets can also be purchased.
