Accessibility with the Other Art Fair

The Other Art Fair, presented by Saatchi Art, is making its highly anticipated return to Brooklyn for its 15th edition from May 8-11. The event will transform ZeroSpace in Gowanus into a vibrant hub of artistic expression, with special emphasis on documentary photography, embroidery, and illustration.

Distinguished from traditional gallery experiences, this fair maintains its commitment to accessibility and inclusivity. More than 125 artists will connect directly with attendees, displaying works with transparent pricing to make art collecting more approachable for everyone.

“The 15th edition continues our mission to make art collecting accessible and welcoming to all,” says fair director Emily-Jean Alexander. “With all artwork clearly priced and artists present to share their stories directly, we remove the intimidation often felt in traditional art spaces.”

Visitors can engage in numerous interactive experiences, including portrait sessions with New York Times bestselling author Anna Marie Tendler and a scavenger hunt led by illustrative artist Joe Kraft. In celebration of Mother’s Day, the fair will feature “Flowers for Mom,” an exhibition with all works priced under $300, alongside hands-on paper flower workshops.

The event kicks off Thursday evening with extended hours on Friday night, featuring DJ sets, custom artwork opportunities, and a machine-free tattoo pop-up, creating an immersive celebration of creativity that breaks down traditional art world barriers.
