There is so much to do in Manhattan all year round, but the summer is particularly special. Richard Easton matchmaker has some great ideas for places to go on a date that are a little different to the standard practices of taking someone to an eatery. For example, every Wednesday throughout the month of July, you can enjoy volleyball games at the Esplanade Plaza in Battery Park City. Everyone is welcome – from beginners to advanced – and it is definitely a great way to keep in shape as well as have fun and get to see what your date is like in a competitive setting.
If that’s not your thing, Richard Easton advises the free Thursday concert series that has been taking place for the last few weeks at the Robert F. Wagner Jr. Park. There, you and your date can enjoy all sorts of jazz and blues, again at no cost.
At the end of the month on July 30th, there is the Mad Decent Block Party that will take place at South Street Seaport, Pier 17. There you will be privy to a whole slew of different musical performers to enjoy some awesome wild, electronic music.
