Raising Money for the Wall Street Warfighters
The Wall Street Warfighters, supported by people like Cristie Kerr, AJ Discala and many others, helps veterans who are disabled to get placed in jobs upon their return from service. Soldiers who are part of the Wall Street Warfighters program are trained, earning Series 7 and 66 licenses that they’ll need in the financial sector, are enrolled in executive education courses at Wharton School in Philadelphia and are given face time to visit offices and learn about financial firms.
The event on May 28th, 2012 at the Liberty National Golf Club raised $15,000 for Wall Street Warfighters. As Kerr said about the day,
“It was an honor to meet and spend the day with these true American Heroes. I am proud to be a member of Liberty National and it was truly inspiring to see the members and staff work together to make this a special experience for the amazing service men and women in attendance. The funds raised for Wall Street Warfighters were an added bonus for a terrific charity.”
The Wall Street Warfighters Board of Directors includes impressive names like General Peter Pace, Colonel Katie Haddock and S. Brooks Hulitt. It also includes many in the financial sector like AJ Discala and others.
