Golden Olympic Girls Coming to Barclays Center

The history-making US Women’s Olympic Gymnastics team will be entertaining New Yorkers this coming November at the spanking new Barclays Center between Clinton Hill, Gowanus and the Downtown areas of Brooklyn.

On hand at 3pm on November 18 fans can expect heart-stopping performances by Gabrielle Douglas, the first African-American woman to win a gold medal in the Olympic individual all-around gymnastics competition; Alexandra Raisman, the first American woman to bring home the gold in the floor exercise; and the rest of the team, including Jordyn Wieber, Kyla Ross and McKayla Maroney, who together won gold medals in the team competition. 

In addition to the 2012 Olympic US Women’s Gymnastics team will be stars from the 2008 Beijing Olympics, including Nastia Liukin, individual all-around gold medalist, balance beam and uneven bars silver-medalist, and bronze medalist in the floor exercise; and stars from the US Men’s Gymnastics team including Jonathan Horton, 2012 Olympian and 2008 silver medalist on the horizontal bar and bronze medalist on floor exercise; and 2012 Olympians John Orozco and Jake Dalton.
