Development Notebook: 365 Union Gets Glassed

July 30th, 2008 · 1 Comment

The very slow moving box at 365 Union Avenue in Williamsburg has been making some progress of late, even to the point of getting glass. The six-story building comes from the shop of Robert Scarano and is one of nearly a dozen buildings going up in a small triangle of Williamsburg east of the BQE and south of Metropolitan Avenue.

And this building really looks like it’s made out of tissue paper and gum. The walls are like 1 piece of 5/8″ thick durock - that’s it! I will say at least now it’s beginning to look like a building, not an erector set experiment.
