Okay, it’s not called the BOG Building, but that’s what we’re calling 35 Havemeyer Street, because part of the site was, until recently, the outdoor dining area of the Brick Oven Gallery, one of our favorite little spots in Williamsburg. The Brick Oven Gallery now has tables outside on Havemeyer and the lot is going to be a five-story building with eight units. The new building has already garnered four complaints to the Department of Buildings and a short-lived Stop Work Order. Us, we suggest the Thin Sicilian Pie with added ricotta and hot peppers, plus the Brooklyn Caviar.
