“For the past several months there has been a loud, annoying beeping noise on 16th street, between 7th and 8th. It sounds like a little ping, is high pitched and happens at 1 minute intervals. (I timed it!) I have walked outside and I know it is not a smoke detector battery or some sort; you can hear it for half of the block.
